15 December 2010

T+456 or 15 months!

Jeremy had an uneventful visit to hospital clinic this morning - uneventful, because the results from last week's bone marrow aspirate were not back yet ...

He made it to school just after morning tea for his LAST DAY OF KINDY!  He had an exciting day which ended in the whole school making a guard of honour in the playground for the Year 6 students.

Then late this afternoon, the bone marrow transplant doctor rang with the fantastic news - Jeremy's results are MRD Negative!  PRAISE GOD!!!!!

Jeremy's bone marrow aspirate went well today, although he was once again made to wait until the end of the general anaesthetic list because of his ESBL status.  Apparently it depends on the anaethetist of the day as to whether this is an issue or not.  However, he was still allowed to be in the playroom with the other oncology children, so he had a happy time playing with the cooking toys and cars - and this took his mind off his hungry tummy!.

We will hopefully know the results next Wednesday when we go back to hospital clinic to see the bone marrow transplant doctor.  Thanks to all who have been praying about this for Jeremy.

Winter showers for the first day of summer! Jeremy's kindy class was supposed to go on a bushwalk today, but instead the local council bushcare officers came and gave them a talk in the school hall.

One more week until Jeremy's next bone marrow aspirate on 8 December 2010 - we are praying that it will be MRD Negative this time.

And two more weeks until the last day of kindy - praise God that Jeremy has had such a wonderful first year at school!
