This morning Jeremy went to hospital clinic to see the bone marrow transplant doctor. He told us the results of the rest of Jeremy's 12-month bloods (which were taken from him when he was having his general anaesthetic in October). His vitamin D is low, so he will need to take some vitamin supplements. His iron levels are very high, but this is in keeping with the huge number of blood transfusions that he has had and should eventually come back down to normal in a few years' time. Apart from these issues, his 12-month blood results were good.
Jeremy will have his next bone marrow aspirate on Wednesday 8 December 2010 - and hopefully the results will be MRD Negative this time.
Afterwards, Jeremy went to see the hospital dentist for his one-year post-transplant checkup, and we are thankful that his teeth are OK.
