T+157

Tomorrow will be one year since Jeremy was diagnosed with leukaemia.

During the past year, Jeremy has spent 159 nights in hospital (more than 5 months or over 40% of the year!) and has visited hospital clinic 47 times. This means that he has spent more than half the year at hospital.

He has had -
- countless fingerpricks and butterfly needles in his arm for blood samples
- 110 doses of chemo
- 28 platelet transfusions
- 24 needles in his bottom of the chemo Asparaginase
- 22 red blood cell transfusions
- 16 general anaesthetics
- 10 bone marrow aspirates
- 9 lumbar punctures
- 6 sessions of Total Body Irradiation
- 6 CT scans/fungograms
- 4 X-rays
- 4 echocardiograms
- 3 nasogastric tubes
- 1 central line
- 1 skin biopsy
and 1 bone marrow transplant!

On a happier note, he has also had 37 gate passes, and lots of cheerful and caring nurses and doctors!

Most importantly, he has had the constant and faithful prayers of so many of you - for which we humbly say "thank you".
